Planning a visit to one of UK’s most prestigious University cities, or just looking for things to do in Cambridge? Here are a few ideas:
University Colleges
Cambridge is most famous for the prestigious University, with many colleges scattered throughout the city. While some colleges have restricted access, several, like Trinity College, Corpus Christi, and Downing College. Wander through the pretty courtyards and admire the architecture.

Parker’s Piece
Need some fresh air that isn’t a university college? Head to Parker’s Piece, a large park you can stroll around to escape the busy city and colleges. You can take a stroll or chill out here.
Mathematical Bridge
Admire an interesting feat of engineering by visiting the Mathematical Bridge. Built with intricate mathematical principles, this structure is a sight to behold.

Fitzwilliam Museum
You can visit the Fitzwilliam Museum and admire the interesting artifacts they have on show here. Best of all, it’s free of charge, but keep an eye out for events and exhibitions which may be running during your visit here.
Go punting!
Punting is the classic way to explore Cambridge by renting a boat and pushing your way along the River Cam. Unfortunately this was cancelled due to bad weather when I was there, but this is a super popular way to see Cambridge on the river.
